The subjects covered in this presentation are mandatory. This course encompasses OSHA and the CDC guidelines on infection control and blood-borne pathogens and raises awareness of respiratory disease transmission. This training promotes insight for employers and employees to understand potential risks and develop safety strategies essential to comply with current CDC and ADA guidelines to keep all employees safe. - Distinguish areas and procedures of potential risk and injury in the workplace
- Develop strategies to reduce the risk of injury and disease transmission according to OSHA and CDC guidelines
- Design and implement policies required for exposure and post-exposure control plans for your practice
- Recognize the components to meet the standards for infection control, which serve to reduce the risk of disease transmission and exposure
Speaker Bio:
Cathie Collier holds a bachelor's degree in dental hygiene education from the Fones School of Dental Hygiene, where she is currently an adjunct faculty member and has served as clinical coordinator. She has her master's degree from The Graduate Institute in Integrative Health and Healing. As an Organization for Safety and Asepsis Prevention member, she has assisted numerous dental offices in achieving compliance and meeting infection control regulations from the ADA and CDC.
